Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa expects to complete construction of its new cement terminal in Palembang in the first quarter of 2018, according to Indonesia Investments. The terminal will have a 1Mta capacity once the project is commissioned in March.
In December 2017, Indocement began production at its 4.4Mta plant in Citeureup, West Java, bringing the company’s total capacity to 25Mta. However, the facility is only expected to utilise 75 per cent of its capacity due to the current oversupply in the domestic market.
