Bernard Mathieu to front WCA's Global Climate Change Forum

The World Cement Association (WCA) has announced mthe appointment of Bernard Mathieu as Director of its Climate Programme. In this role, Mr Mathieu will lead the WCA CEOs’ Global Forum on Climate Change that aims to draft the WCA Roadmap on Climate Change. The forum will take place on 27-28 June 2018 in Paris.

"I am delighted to be supporting the WCA’s efforts to promote climate change values in the global cement industry and finding new ways for sustainable businesses to tackle some of the planet’s biggest issues," said Bernard Mathieu.  "The collaborative approach advocated by the WCA is really important if we are to succeed in these goals, and I look forward to sharing ideas with representatives from other organisations and associations in the run-up to the WCA GFCC."

Mr Mathieu has been LafargeHolcim's Head of Sustainable Development and HeidelbergCement’s Head of Global Environmental Sustainability.
