Air Chief Marshal, Satitpong Sukwimol, a close aide of Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn, is awaiting shareholder approval to become a director of Siam Cement Group (SCG).

Mr Sukwimol has previously served on the board of the national flag carrier, Thai Airways International from 2009-13. More recently, he was appointed director-general of the Crown Property Bureau on Sunday. The multibillion-dollar royal property management organisation manages the assets of the king, including stakes in SCG and Siam Commercial Bank.
