25th AFCM Symposium and Exhibition held in Bandung

The 25th ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) Technical Symposium and Exhibition has successfully concluded after being held between 4-6 April at The Trans Luxury Hotel in Bandung.

The event is held every three years, with its location rotating between AFCM member countries. Indonesia was selected to host this year’s event, which focussed on the theme of green technology for the cement industry. Over 400 delegates and 50 exhibitors participated in the conference.

The programme featured 22 presentations, designed to encourage production and efficiency across the industry.

Widodo Santoso, chairman of the Indonesian Cement Association, noted that the conference has an important role in promoting the operation of effective, efficient, and environmentally-friendly cement factories.
