Cement producers in Indonesia reported a 79.2 per cent rise in cement exports to 121,917t in April and clinker exports more than tripled to 471,410t from 156,225t in April 2017, according to the Indonesian Cement Association. As a result, total export sales increased 165 per cent to 594,327t in April from 224,277t.
In the January-April 2018 period total exports rose by 110.7 per cent from 615,005t in 4M17 to 1,295,957t. Clinker exports saw the strongest growth, up from 297,681t in the year-ago period to 964,971t. Cement exports were reported at 330,986t in 4M18, up 4.3 per cent from 317,324t in 4M17.
