Cementos Fortaleza will play a key part in disposing of 867t of tyres that were stockpiled in the El Huixmí sanitary landfill in Pachuca de Soto, Mexico.
Municipal president, Yolanda Tellería Beltrán, said the removal of the tyres from the landfill site had started in January and had now been completed. "The cement company has all the equipment and technology to protect against contaminants, and it does not cost the city council because it is the company that transfers all the material from the landfill,” according to the official.
