Intercem Engineering wins new plant contract for Haiti

Intercem Engineering GmbH has won an EP Contract for a 5000-6000tpd integrated cement plant in Haiti. The project will include raw material crushing and processing through to pyroprocessing and cement grinding and storage.

The plant will consist of a five-stage single-preheater tower with precalciner and kiln baghouse as well as a clinker cooler with an air/air heat-exchanger. Clinker will be stored in a 100,000t clinker silo and the grinding plant will consist of a 6000tpd vertical roller mill.

Cement will be stored in four 5500t concrete cement silos and the plant will be equipped with bulk loading stations for four trucks with a capacity of 800tpd, as well as three eight-spout rotary valve bag packers.

The scope of supply includes the entire engineering, project management, transport, mechanical and electrical equipment and the supervision of the civil works, mechanical and electrical erection works and the supervision of the commissioning.
 
The engineering and the deliveries will be executed according to the Best Available Technology (BAT). All equipment will be delivered from first-call manufacturers based in Germany or other EU countries.
