Vietnam exports continue to soar to record levels

Vietnamese exports of cement and clinker soared to 2.251Mt in July 2018, up 61 per cent YoY. Clinker exports reached 1.669Mt in the period, increasing 72 per cent YoY, with higher volumes largely driven by Chinese demand.
 
Total domestic cement consumption maintained its upward trend and reached 5.135Mt in July, advancing seven per cent compared to the year-ago period, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA).
 
Sales by VICEM group companies amounted to 1.671Mt in July, led by VICEM Ha Tien with sales of 0.563Mt.
