Spain’s Cementos Tudela Veguín has announced plans to construct a terminal at Gijón port, Asturias, for the reception, storage and loading of cement. The terminal is expected to serve the facilities of the company’s subsidiary, Masaveu Industria, and occupy an area of 14,000m2.
The project was given permission to proceed by the port authority after the deadline for a 20-day competition process expired. Therefore, the company will become the first to have a long-term concession on the expanded northern dock of the port, which has a 500,000m2 quay.
