Bangladesh's cement industry recorded an export revenue of US$1.85m during July-Aug 2018 compared to US$2.07m of the corresponding year-ago period, according to the Bangladesh Export Promotion Bureau. This equates to a fall of 10.6 per cent YoY in exports. The export figure also includes a minor amount of salt, stone and related products.
Currently, the country is reportedly exporting cement to India, Myanmar, Nepal, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
