FCT Combustion wins Ash Grove burner project and other cement orders

FCT Combustion has won a contract to convert both kilns at Ash Grove Cement's Louisville plant, NE, USA to natural gas firing. The supply will include Gyro-Therm™ MKII burners, natural valve trains for both kilns and NFPA 86 BMS for both kilns.


FCT Combustion has also announced a list of its recently completed and ongoing orders for the cement industry. These include:



• Nova Cimangola – a project to convert its 5000tpd kiln to oil firing. This project will see the supply of a main multi-fuel burner, calciner burners, oil heating units, oil pump and filtering units and control panels.


• Finnsementi (CRH Group) – at the Parainen plant, Finland, FCT Combustion is installing a Turbo-Flex™ burner system for the kiln with commissioning scheduled for March 2019. 


• Finnsementi (CRH Group) – at the Lappeenranta works, Finland, FCT Combustion is supplying a Turbo-Flex™ burner system for the kiln with commissioning in April 2019.


• Baumit – the Wopfinger plant in Austria has received a natural gas lance for the kiln preheater in February 2019.
• CIMA – FCT Combustion has supplied a Turbo-Jet™ burner to the Malaysian cement producer which was successfully commissioned in November 2019.

• Gorka Cement – at the Trzebina plant, Poland, a Gyro-Therm™ burner is being supplied with automated control for a long, wet-process, kiln, with commissioning in March 2019.
