The recent discovery of limestone in Nyimba district, Zambia, is anticipated to attract cement plant investors to the mineral resource-rich district, Eastern Province regional mining survey officer Brian Nyambe has said.

An investor has since expressed interest to set up a cement plant in the district. Zambia currently has four integrated and one grinding plant, with a total cement capacity of approximately 3.6Mta.
