The Gujarat Pollution Control Board has requested cement producers in the Indian state to use plastic in five per cent of their total fuel. The board is also expected to increase this mandate to 10 per cent to boost the demand for plastic waste, according to The Times of India.
The authorities are also in talks with other industries for the use of construction debris, mud and fertilisers.
