Armenia’s Ararat Cement has announced that it will be suspending construction of a grinding mill in Kapan, in the southeast of the country. The decision follows public opposition to the plans over the past two years, according to Arm Info.
"The board of directors of the multi-group concern, taking into account the opinions of the owner of the concern, Gagnka Tsarukyan, about the need to take into account the wishes of people, decided to suspend the process of building the enterprise," the board of directors said in a statement.
