La Grande Cimenterie du Katanga (GCK), Democratic Republic of Congo, expects to produce 1.2Mta of cement in 2020, according to a report by Agence Congolaise de Presse.
GECAMINES, in partnership with China Cement and HMIE Group, is investing US$160m to build a plant. The joint venture was formed on 13 July 2011 and subsequently, in 2017, was expanded to enable it to have the required capital.
