Semen Indonesia Group sees 39% rise in  September volumes

Semen Indonesia Group reported a 38.8 per cent YoY hike in sales volumes in September to 4,287,396t.

Of this total Semen Indonesia saw its sales increase by 3.3 per cent YoY to 3,015,298t, which include a 39.4 per cent rise in export sales to 312,118t.

Thang Long Cement Co (TLCC) reported a 4.5 per cent YoY increase in sales to 3,228,539t, but while export sales surged 188.3 per cent to 99,013t, domestic sales fell by 15 per cent to 112,228t when compared with September 2018.

Ex-Holcim subsidiary SBI saw its deliveries decline by 2.7 per cent YoY to 1,058,856t. While its domestic sales slipped by 2.3 per cent to 1,027,240t, exports were down 12.9 per cent YoY to 31,616t.

In the first nine months of 2019 Semen Indonesia Group reported sales volumes up by 23.8 per cent YoY to 29.507Mt.

Semen Indonesia posted a 3.4 per cent decline in total sales to 21.175Mt with domestic sales falling 4.9 per cent to 18.661Mt while exports picked up by 9.1 per cent to 2.514Mt.

TLCC noted a 19.2 per cent drop to 1.548Mt, of which 0.969Mt (-20.9 per cent) were domestic sales and 0.579Mt (-16.1 per cent) were destined for export markets.

SBI saw 9M sales slip by 2.7 per cent YoY to 7.725Mt although the fall was greater for export sales, which were down 5.4 per cent to 0.369Mt, than for domestic off-take, which declined 2.6 per cent to 7.356Mt.
