Malaga Ports new conveyor has restored clinker exports
12 December 2019

Malaga Port has ended the year having exported in excess of 230,000t of clinker. Thanks to the partnership between Servimad Global and the Finance and Mining Company, Malaga Port has restarted cement exports that had been paralysed since December 2018.

Cement exports were restarted in 2019 when Servimad decided to solve the issue of dust emissions by commissioning a conveyor belt specifically designed for Malaga Port, that minimises environmental pollution by 100 per cent.

The new conveyor belt was completed by July 2019 and initial export forecasts have been fully met. In only five months, seven ships have loaded 231,158t of clinker at Malaga's docks. The loading belt is already working at full capacity.
