Gebr Pfeiffer has received an order to supply a vertical roller mill (VRM) for Sanya International Co's Al Amir cement plant in Najaf, Iraq. The MVR 5000 R-4 mill is equipped with a classifier of the type SLS 4500 VR and will be used for raw material grinding.
The raw mill will grind 500tph of cement raw material to a fineness of 10 per cent R to 0.090mm. The material is dried in the mill from a feed moisture content of approximately 12 per cent to a residual moisture of < 0.5 per cent. The mill is equipped with a powerful 4400kW drive unit.
The contract was awarded through the Chinese general contractor Sinoma Suzhou. The MVR mill is expected to be put into service in the 2H26.
