Yanbu Cement Co and Southern Province Cement Co have ended negotiations on a potential merger after failing to reach a final agreement.
The Saudi producers said in separate filings to the local stock exchange that the talks lapsed with the expiry of a non-binding memorandum of understanding.
The companies signed the MoU in June 2024 to evaluate the feasibility of combining operations, and extended it for three months this June to review a potential share swap and complete due diligence.
