Mitsubishi UBE Cement Corp (MUCC) is reportedly planning an initial public offering as early as December 2026, five years after the business was formed by Mitsubishi Materials Corp and UBE Corp.
The Tokyo-based cement producer is working with Citigroup, Mizuho Financial Group, Morgan Stanley and Nomura Holdings as joint global coordinators for the proposed listing, according to people familiar with the plans.
MUCC applied for a listing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange in July, although it did not disclose the proposed timing or amount to be raised.
The company was established through the integration of the cement businesses of Mitsubishi Materials and UBE, with operations commencing in 2022. Details of the proposed IPO remain under consideration and could change.
