UAE's National Cement Company reported a sharp improvement in second-quarter earnings, supported by higher revenue and improved operating profitability.
Revenue for the three months ended 30 June 2026 rose 42.3 per cent YoY to AED82.3m (US$22.4m), from AED57.8m in 2Q25. Gross profit increased to AED23.3m from AED6.4m, while operating profit advanced to AED15.7m from AED4.1m.
Net profit more than tripled to AED33.7m from AED10.9m, with basic and diluted earnings per share rising to AED0.09 from AED0.03.
For the first six months of 2026, revenue increased 38.9 per cent YoY to AED152.0m. However, net profit declined to AED109.0m from AED168.1m, reflecting a fall in dividend income from equity investments to AED79.3m from AED154.5m. The company's cement segment recorded a profit of AED29.1m for the six-month period, compared with AED1.4m a year earlier.
