Dangote Cement Plc will hold a Capital Markets Day (CMD) in London, UK, on 21 September 2026 as it progresses plans for a secondary listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

The Nigerian cement producer said senior management will provide investors and other stakeholders with an update on the company’s strategy, operations and business priorities. The event will also provide an opportunity for engagement with management, with presentation materials to be released to the market in accordance with applicable disclosure requirements.

The CMD follows Dangote Cement’s announcement on 12 May 2026 regarding the proposed LSE listing, which has subsequently received shareholder approval. The listing is intended to broaden the company’s international investor base.

Aliko Dangote, president of Dangote Group, previously indicated that around 10 per cent of Dangote Cement’s shares could be sold to external investors as part of the London listing. The company had considered an LSE listing as early as 2018 but did not proceed at the time.

The renewed listing plans come as Dangote Cement reports continued earnings growth. Pre-tax profit increased 34.4 per cent YoY to NGN981.39bn (US$742m) in the six months ended 30 June 2026, from NGN730.03bn in the corresponding period of 2025. Profit after tax advanced 22.7 per cent to NGN638.53bn, while earnings per share rose to NGN38.22 from NGN30.74.
