Argentina’s cement dispatches declined by 8.1 per cent YoY to 817,082t in August 2026, according to the country’s Portland Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCP). This marked the fifth consecutive month of annual contraction and the lowest August total recorded since 2006.

Domestic-market dispatches fell by eight per cent YoY to 814,457t, while exports decreased by 25.9 per cent to 2625t.

In the first eight months of 2026, total cement dispatches reached 6.315Mt, down 4.2 per cent from the corresponding period of 2025.

Cement imports remained negligible, falling by 26.2 per cent YoY from 298t to 220t in August.
