Cumulative cement exports amounted to 2.394Mt in April-July 2026, up 21.1 per cent YoY from 1.976Mt in the same period of 2025, while clinker exports were down 66.1 per cent YoY to 723,172t from 2.131Mt.

Outlook
Iranian cement consumption and production have held up well despite the ongoing US war against the country. Government demand is likely the key driver amid problems in the economy and housing market. However ongoing public investment in large infrastructure projects will be at risk from a shortfall in government revenues as the conflict draws on.

Meanwhile external demand for Iranian cement will remain robust with exports to Afghanistan, Turkmenistan and Pakistan helping offset any downtick in exports to neighbouring Middle East countries and Russia. However, the strong downward trend in clinker reported since 2023 is expected to continue.
