Hoffmann Green Cement Technologies has signed a partnership with French agricultural cooperative Terrena to use its clinker-free cement in agricultural construction projects.
The agreement covers the incorporation of Hoffmann Green’s cement into foundations and agricultural structures developed for Terrena’s members across western France. The partners said the initiative is intended to reduce the embodied carbon of new agricultural buildings and support Terrena’s sustainability programme.
Based in Ancenis, Terrena represents approximately 17,000 farms and employs 13,000 people. Its activities extend across agricultural production, food processing and retailing in the Pays de la Loire region and western France.
Hoffmann Green said the agreement extends the application of its cold-produced, clinker-free cement beyond its established construction markets. Agricultural buildings offer the company a potential new source of demand as it works to expand production and diversify its customer base.
No committed purchasing volumes, contract value or initial construction projects were disclosed.
