Devki Group is building a KES50bn (US$386m) cement plant at Ngaaie in Mwingi North, Kenya’s Kitui County. The site is close to local limestone deposits and would be the county’s first cement plant. Chairman Narendra Raval said operations are expected to begin in mid-2027.

The project would expand Devki’s Kenyan cement production alongside its existing National Cement operations, which produce Simba Cement. Raval said production closer to regional markets could reduce transport costs. The group has not disclosed the plant’s planned cement or clinker capacity.
