Austria’s Wietersdorfer Gruppe has appointed Axel Kühner and Yorck Schmidt to its supervisory board, effective September 2026. They succeed Winfried Braumann and Jakob Mosser as part of a generational change at the family-owned group.

Bertram Ziegenfuß has been elected chairman, replacing Christina Fromme-Knoch after 15 years in the role. Both represent the owning family.

Headquartered in Klagenfurt, Wietersdorfer owns Alpacem, which operates cement and concrete businesses in Austria, Italy and Slovenia. The group reported 2025 revenue of EUR1.091bn, including associated companies, and employs 3783 people.
