US-based Prometheus Materials has appointed Filiberto Ruiz and Alan Wessel to its board of directors and Brian Chapman as director of technology to support the commercial scale-up of its ProZERO concrete blend.
Ruiz, who will chair the board, previously served as president and CEO of Votorantim Cimentos North America, Holcim US and Aggregate Industries US. Wessel brings experience leading Thomas Concrete’s US operations and holding senior positions at Vulcan Materials.
Chapman joins from Biomason, where he helped develop biocement technologies from research through pilot and full-scale production.
ProZERO is designed to replace supplementary cementitious materials such as fly ash and slag in concrete mixes, integrating into existing ready-mixed concrete production systems. Prometheus says its technology is already being deployed in projects for six data centre hyperscalers.
The appointments add cement manufacturing, concrete commercialisation and materials science expertise as the company expands production and customer adoption.
