Japan’s Tokuyama has completed the transfer of its domestic cement and solidification-material sales business to Taiheiyo Cement, effective 1 October.

The transaction includes subsidiary M-Tech Tsusho and follows the agreement announced in March. Taiheiyo acquired all shares in Tokuyama Cement, the company established to hold the transferred business, which has been renamed Tokuyama Taiheiyo Corporation.

The transfer concerns sales operations and does not constitute a transfer of Tokuyama’s cement manufacturing facilities.
