Honduras has introduced mandatory cement registration requirements, effective 6 October, alongside provisions covering product quality, labelling and storage.
According to government broadcaster TNH, implementation follows an extension granted earlier this year. The regulation, originally published in May, applies to cement manufactured, imported or marketed in Honduras.
The requirements make registration a condition of market access for domestic suppliers and importers. TNH reports that Argos Honduras, Cementos del Norte and Duracem are among the registered suppliers.
