India’s JSW Cement has commissioned an additional 1Mta of cement grinding capacity at itsplant in Rajasthan, increasing the company’s total installed grinding capacity from 24.1Mta to 25.1Mta.
The addition, disclosed on 6 October, strengthens JSW’s production footprint in northern India and forms part of its wider expansion programme. The company plans to increase grinding capacity to 43.3Mta through approved projects, with further potential developments beyond that figure.
The latest commissioning represents completed capacity entering operation, while the remaining expansion projects are at various stages of development.
