Bangladesh’s Bashundhara Industrial Complex and Meghna Cement Mills have signed a memorandum of understanding with China’s Guangxi Yufeng covering technology transfer and potential strategic investment in cement production.
The agreement was signed in Dhaka on 14 October by Safwan Sobhan, chairman of Safwan Bashundhara Global, representing the two Bangladeshi companies, and Yufeng Cement chairman Lei Zhenbin.
The proposed cooperation will explore opportunities to share technical expertise, improve production efficiency and strengthen supply-chain management.
The companies will continue discussions to determine the scope of potential investment and the steps required to implement the partnership. No investment value, additional production capacity or implementation timetable has been disclosed.
