Fauji Cement Co Ltd (FCCL) posted a 51 per cent YoY increase in profit after tax to PKR4.96bn (US$17.89m) for the quarter ended 30 September 2026 (1QFY26-27), supported by higher local cement off-take, improved retention prices and lower finance costs.
According to the company's financial results submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, net sales rose 11 per cent to PKR26.05bn from PKR23.42bn in the corresponding period last year, while earnings per share increased to PKR2.00 from PKR1.30.
The company reported a gross profit margin of 36 per cent, up from 32 per cent a year earlier, reflecting stronger pricing, higher domestic dispatches and cost optimisation measures. Operating profit advanced to PKR7.61bn in 1QFY26-27 from PKR5.96bn in 1QFY25-26.
Finance costs fell sharply, with net finance cost declining to PKR405m from PKR668m in the same period last year. FCCL also recorded PKR496m as profit share from its associate, Askari Cement Ltd.
In its communication to the PSX, FCCL attributed the improved performance to better retention prices, higher local dispatches and operational efficiencies. The Board did not announce any cash dividend, bonus shares or rights shares along with the quarterly results.
Analysts remain optimistic about the company's outlook, citing a potential recovery in construction activity, continued pricing discipline, and lower borrowing costs as key drivers of future earnings.
