Molins reported strong growth in the first nine months of 2026, supported by acquisitions, pricing discipline and operational efficiencies, despite cost inflation and adverse currency movements.
Sales increased 65 per cent YoY to EUR1241m (US$1280.74m). On a like-for-like (LfL) basis, at constant currencies and excluding hyperinflation effects in Argentina and Turkey and changes in consolidation scope, sales rose 13 per cent.
EBITDA climbed 92 per cent YoY to EUR280m, with the margin expanding by 3.17 percentage points to 22.6 per cent. LfL EBITDA grew 15 per cent, despite higher energy, fuel and freight costs. Adjusted EBITDA, which includes contributions from equity-accounted joint ventures, increased 63 per cent to EUR391m, supported particularly by strong performance in Mexico. LfL adjusted EBITDA rose 14 per cent, while earnings per share increased 23 per cent to EUR2.61.
Free cash flow reached EUR165m, including EUR55m in dividends from joint ventures, supporting debt reduction. Net financial debt stood at EUR1364m at the end of September, with the company reporting ample liquidity and a diversified, long-term debt maturity profile.
Performance in markets
In terms of geographical markets, European sales benefited from pricing discipline and acquisitions, while South America maintained strong operating performance despite unfavourable exchange rates. Africa faced a challenging competitive environment. Joint ventures made a significant contribution, driven by Mexico and positive momentum in Colombia.
Sustainable growth and diversification
Molins said the integration of Secil, acquired at the end of March, was progressing as planned, strengthening its presence in Europe and Latin America. It also completed the acquisition of Argentine construction chemicals producer Protex during the third quarter. In October Molins inaugurated an urban landscape solutions plant in Oklahoma, its first US production facility.
