BUA Cement reported revenue of NGN1.087tn (US$807m) for the first nine months of 2026, representing an increase of 26.5 per cent from NGN858.7bn in the corresponding period of 2025. The company attributed the increase partly to continued growth in bulk cement sales.

Profit before tax advanced 64.4 per cent to NGN556.7bn, while profit after tax increased 59.8 per cent to NGN463.1bn. Operating profit rose 46.7 per cent to NGN536.5bn.

Cost of sales increased by 8.8 per cent to NGN466.4bn, reflecting energy-supply constraints, operational challenges and higher prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. However, the EBITDA margin improved by 6.3 percentage points to 52.7 per cent, supported by lower operation and maintenance charges and savings from the introduction of LNG-powered trucks.

BUA Cement said it achieved year-on-year volume growth in each of the first three quarters, despite heavy rainfall and poor road conditions. The producer currently has 17Mta of installed capacity and plans to increase this to 23Mta through projects at Ososo, Edo State, and Kalambaina, Sokoto State.
