Heidelberg Materials reported third-quarter revenue of EUR6.41bn, up 10.4 per cent from EUR5.81bn a year earlier, as demand continued to recover and acquisitions expanded the group’s portfolio. Revenue increased 5.6 per cent on a like-for-like basis.

Result from current operations (RCO) rose 8.7 per cent to EUR1.28bn, or 6.5 per cent like for like. European RCO increased 14.6 per cent to EUR499m, while North American RCO advanced 4.3 per cent to EUR448m. Asia-Pacific RCO was broadly unchanged at EUR120m.

For January–September, revenue increased 4.9 per cent to EUR16.99bn and RCO rose 2.8 per cent to EUR2.53bn. However, the RCO margin declined by 29 basis points to 14.9 per cent, while higher energy, raw-material and logistics costs reduced the RCOBD margin.
