China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has included three cement-sector standards in the fifth batch of its 2026 industry standards-development programme.
The planned standards cover green-factory assessment requirements for cement plants and technical requirements for the finish grinding of cement raw meal using roller presses. A third will establish a method for evaluating the accuracy of AI-enabled clinker-strength predictions.
The ministry has instructed the relevant organisations to coordinate standards development with technical innovation, experimental validation, intellectual-property considerations and industrial deployment. Industry associations and standardisation bodies will oversee drafting, consultation and technical review.
The three documents remain under development and have not yet entered into force.
