Anhui Conch's 1H20 profit rises 5.3%

Anhui Conch Cement's net profit rose in the 1H20, on the back of a resumption of construction projects in Asia and higher sales in western China. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, cement sales volumes fell across the regions the company operates in, except for west China. In the 2Q20 FLSmidth's revenue amounted to DKK3.846bn (US$608.8m) compared to DKK5.472bn in the 2Q19, down 30 per cent YoY with a 22 per cent decline in mining and a 41 per cent decrease in cement. HeidelbergCement Group revenues decreased by 10.4 per cent to EUR8.254bn compared to  EUR9.212bn in 1H19 and the company posted a loss of EUR3.095bn for the 1H20. Breedon Group sees revenue decline by 25% to GBP353.3m in 1H20

Breedon Group Plc announced its interim (unaudited) results for the six months ended 30 June 2020 with revenue reaching GBP353.3m, representing a 25 per cent drop from GBP447.4m in 1H19. Breedon recorded cement sales of 0.8Mt in the 1H20, down from 1Mt in 1H19, while ready-mix sales declined to 1Mm 3 in the 1H20 from 1.5Mm 3 in the 1H19.
