LafargeHolcim reported strong growth in net sales for 1Q19, rising 6.4 per cent and an over-proportional increase in recurring EBITDA, up 20.6 per cent.

Argos' consolidated revenues rise 14% in 1Q19

In the first three months of 2019, Argos reported revenues of US$693.8m, an increase of 14 per cent on 1Q18. Operating EBITDA reached US$99.39m, 3.7 per cent higher, while net profit totalled US$4.9m. Eagle Cement Corp reported a net profit of PHP1.59bn (US$30.6m) in 1Q19. This was a rise of 49 per cent YoY driven by a double-digit growth in sales volumes and higher cement selling prices. Ahead of tomorrow's AGM, CRH reports that the group has had a positive start to the year with 1Q19 like-for-like group sales seven per cent ahead of 1Q18. Tajikistan has produced around 843,000t of cement in the first three months of 2019, an increase of nine per cent from 747,000t last year, according to Asia-Plus. Steppe Cement reports that in the 1Q19 the cement producer sold 266,393t of cement for KZT4455m (US$11.76m), compared to 197,179t of cement for KZT2313m in the 1Q18, an increase of 35 and 93 per cent, respectively.
