Algeria: second production unit at Ain El Kebira commissioned06 January 2017, Published under Cement NewsMinister of Industry and Mining, Abdesslam Bouchouareb, has inaugurated the second production unit at GICA’s cement plant at Ain El Kebira, Setif. The 2Mta unit will help Algeria to reach the stage of self-sufficiency in cement supply. It was also announced that the 1.5Mta Adrar cement plant is due to be commissioned by April 2017 whilst the 2Mta Chlef plant is expected by October.
