Armenia: Hrazdan Cement expected to increase output

Hrazdan Cement, located in Armenia’s central Kotayk province, is expected to increase output up to 200,000t, the country’s Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan, has said. Titan's turnover improved by 2.7 per cent in 2014 to EUR1158.4m but the EBITDA emerged 2.6 per cent lower at EUR181.6m. Following an 8.5 per cent reduction in the depreciation charge, the trading profit advanced by 7.0 per cent to EUR76.6m. Titan subsidiary acquires EBRD stake in ANTEA Cement

Titan Group subsidiary Αlvacim Ltd has acquired the 20 per cent stake held by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (ΕBRD) in ANTEA Cement, a Titan Group subsidiary in Albania. As a result of this purchase, Titan Group holds 80 per cent of ANTEA’s share capital, whereas the remaining 20 per cent is held by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

Menzel delivers customised replacement drive to Albanian producer

Berlin-based drive manufacturer Menzel has delivered a customised replacement drive that covers two different motors to an Albanian cement plant. After the drive was extensively tested in Menzel’s load test field in the presence of the customer, the motor was shipped in April 2014.
