For the first nine months of the year, Cemex' turnover edged ahead by 0.7 per cent to  US$11,352.7m but but EBITDA eased by 0.3 per cent to US$2001.2m as Mexico continues to drag on the company's performance although substantial improvements are seen in the US. German cement major HeidelbergCement reported increases in revenue and operating income in 2012 as well as a significant reduction in net debt. Revenue for the 12 months to December 2012 improved by nine per cent to EUR14bn. Taiheiyo Cement’s net debt-to-equity ratio is likely to drop to 2.4 by the end of the current fiscal, an improvement on the 2.6 from a year earlier and under 2.5 for the first time in five years. Pakistan’s Kohat Cement Company Ltd (KOHC) achieved a 26.5 per cent YoY growth in domestic sales during FY12, outperforming the industry which grew 8.8 per cent. France-based Vicat's first half performance improved strongly in Asia but results have mainly deteriorated elsewhere. Turnover for the six months to June 2012 eased by 1.5 per cent to €1128.8m, which represents a 2.4 per cent reduction on a comparative basis.
