Aggregate Industries welcomes UK's first green bio-fuel cement tanker20 June 2023, Published under Cement NewsAggregate Industries (part of Holcim ) has taken delivery of the next generation of cement tanker, fuelled by a green bio-fuel. Marking a UK first, the company has deployed the truck as part of its Lafarge Cement business. Working with logistical partner, Lomas Distribution, the 44t bulk tanker is fuelled by hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a fossil-free alternative to mineral diesel, resulting in up to 90 per cent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
