Cements Molins has appointed a new CEO, Julio Rodríguez. Mr Rodríguez worked formerly at Schneider Electric and is since 1 July the first CEO outside the Molins family. Mexico: Elementia plans 1.5Mta expansion

Mexico’s Elementia conglomerate announced it will invest US$250m to expand capacity at its Atotonilco de Tula plant in Hidalgo, operated by Cementos Fortaleza. Following completion of the project in 2017, the plant will have a capacity of 3.5Mta. In 1Q15, Elementia saw its revenues increase to MXN4070m, up 12 per cent YoY as its cement division registered 26 per cent growth.

The installation of a new cement mill at the Rusayl complex of Oman Cement Company will be completed by the fourth quarter of this year, chairman of the board, Dr Abdullah Abbas Ahmed, told the Oman Daily Observer.
