Holcim Belgique announced the closure of five concrete plants in Belgium to union representatives. Buzzi Unicem has submitted an offer to acquire the cement and concrete operations of SACCA SpA. Cemex has invested GBP1m in a new concrete plant at its existing site in Leeds, UK. Cemex demolished the old plant in January 2015 after 63 years of operations.
