Hanson Cement plans to build a new finish mill at Padeswood cement plant in Flintshire, UK, that would secure around 100 jobs, reports Daily Post Wales. Paraguay: INC takes delivery of new mill

On Tuesday Paraguayan cement producer Industria Nacional de Cemento (INC) took delivery of the new mill for its Villeta works. It is expected that the new mill will help the cement producer to double production capacity. Forecasts indicate that the increased supply to the market will result in a fall in cement prices to PYG35,000 in around the first quarter of 2018 although a decrease may start as early as the end of this year.

Brazil: LafargeHolcim opens new production line in Barroso

LafargeHolcim has begun production at a new line in its Barroso plant in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The new line raises the plant's capacity to 3.6Mta. Equipment includes the world's largest vertical cement mill, with 450tph production capacity as well as a Horomill for raw material grinding with low power consumption, and a fully-automated quality control laboratory. Paraguay’s Industria Nacional del Cemento (INC) expects to see annual sales up by US$60m following the commissioning of its new mill in 2H16, according to CEO, Jorge Méndez.
