Diamond Cement’s new Congo works on track for 2Q15 start

The construction of Diamond Cement’s plant in Mindouli in the Republic of Congo is now around 40 per cent complete and is on-track for completion in the second quarter of 2015.  The new works will have a cement production of 0.6Mta in the first stage, with the option to expand this to 1Mta. Eurocement signs Uzbekistan supply contract

Eurocement has signed a US$128m contract with China CAMC Engineering, a unit of Sinomach, for the supply of equipment, as well as design, installation, and training for a new cement plant in the Tashkent region of Uzbekistan, the group said in a statement Monday. Shree Cement has been granted an extension by the state government of Karnataka for the construction of a 3Mta cement plant in the village of Kodla-Benakanalli. Tajik-Chinese talks over new plant project

Talks between Tajiki and Chinese investors are underway over the construction of a cement plant in the south of the central Asian country. The 1Mta cement plant is expected to be constructed in Dangara, unnamed government sources revealed to local press. The estimated cost of the project is reported to be around US$150m.
