China steps into the lime light
As the urbanisation rate in China increases and the government legislates for a more sustainable society, the use of lime is set to expand. Following 40 years of rapid growth, China’s economic and social development has achieved unprecedented historic changes. As part of the country’s industrial development, the domestic lime industry has also been growing exponentially, providing an important basic industrial raw material. With the promulgation of new national policies, the Chinese lime industry has and will continue to face major adjustments. Key development goals include improving the industry’s environmental performance and maximising market demand.
