Currently celebrating its 21st year, Cemtech conferences are a well-established feature of the annual cement industry calendar in all regions, with meetings in Europe, Middle East & Africa, Asia and the Americas.

The Cemtech story began in March 1991 when the first major Eastern European cement conference and exhibition was organised in Prague, Czech Republic, before an audience of more than 300 cement specialists over a three-day event.

Since then, Cemtech Europe has travelled extensively around Europe each year, successfully hosting events in over 16 countries and attracting well over 2700 individual delegates. A recent event, hosted in Warsaw, Poland, brought together an international audience of nearly 300 cement professionals to discuss technical and market developments in the European cement industry.

In 2006, Cemtech began expanding its successful concept to other regions. Cemtech Middle East & Africa – now in its seventh year – has become a central meeting point for all those operating in the region. The latest event, held in Dubai, UAE in February 2012, succeeded in attracting over 250 senior industry delegates from all corners of Africa and the Middle East.

Cemtech has also entered the North American region, and in 2006 held its first conference in the United States. This meeting, under the Cemtech Americas banner, was subsequently repeated in 2007 and 2008, and a further meeting is planned for 2013.

Cemtech Asia has also evolved into an annual industry gathering with a special focus on the vibrant Asian and ASEAN markets. Building on previous meetings held in Singapore and Bali, and organised with the support of the Indonesian Cement Association, this year’s conference and exhibition will be held in Jakarta, Indonesia (17-20 June 2012), with some 300 sector specialists expected to be in attendance.
