Italcementi

Italcementi's turnover declined by 13.3% in 2009, to €5,006.4m, of which consolidated Italian operations contributed about €731m, a drop of 26.7%.  Group cement deliveries were down by 11.1% to 55.7m tonnes and the cement turnover declined by 11.9% to €3,638.6m, with the most notable drops in volume incurring in North America and in Italy as well as in international cement trading.  In the downstream operations, shipments of aggregates declined by 19.1% to 39.1m tonnes and the ready-mixed concrete deliveries fell by 19.2% to 11.2m m³. 

Suez Cement Company, the leading Egyptian cement company with a 28% market share and controlled by Italcementi through Ciments Français, generated a turnover of E£6.38milliard (€857m) in 2009 and its net profit rose by a quarter to E£1.3 milliard (€175.5m).
